The Municipality of Lomas de Zamora will advance infrastructure works in 20 educational establishments in the district during January and February, with the aim of improving building conditions for the start of the 2026 school year. According to information from the Argentine News Agency, the plan covers schools in 14 localities and includes interventions in classrooms, dining rooms, and patios, as well as building beautification and furniture provision, benefiting an estimated 14,000 students. Among the highlighted projects is the construction of a new building for Special School No. 508 (Albertina), featuring six classrooms, four workshops, three offices (including one for kinesiology), a library, a multi-purpose room, and administrative and service areas. A building transformation at Technical School No. 7 (Banfield) was also detailed: the project plans to convert a basement into an educational and technological space with a cinema and photography studio, a room with 3D printers, a projection room, two new classrooms, and accessible restrooms. There, the Municipal School of Audiovisual Media (EMMA) will also operate, according to the information disseminated. In parallel, it was reported on the progress of an educational hub in the Nueva Esperanza neighborhood (Santa Catalina), where the construction of a secondary school with six classrooms and multipurpose spaces has begun, as part of an infrastructure expansion scheme in neighborhoods with demographic growth.
